The 60’s were truly the times to be LIBERAL being a part of making HISTORY and being TIMELESS and ICONIC in your own right in making a STATEMENT that said EXACTLY WHAT YOU STAND FOR IN LIFE making that journey remembered by all YOUNG & OLD!
In that said for today’s cover feature SPECIAL EDITION our very own MOLLBABE model MONICA PRETORIUS returns alongside photographer GRAHAM CHARLES from UI MODEL PHOTO and our MOLLMAGSA CEO ARNE SCHREUDER

Welcome back Monica and Graham, congrats on your first ever COVER FEATURE together for our MOLLMAGSA 2024 60’S ICONS TIMELESS MUSIC & FASHION SPECIAL EDITION for January 2024, how do you feel right now?
MODEL MONICA – Extremely excited… I have been working and waiting for this opportunity for so long. (giggles) and when the opportunity presented itself I grabbed it by both hands, make-up to hairstyles was truly a mission to prefect it for this 60’s theme, but definitely worth it for sure.

GRAHAM FROM UI MODEL PHOTO – Excited about the feature, to have a longtime coming shoot with Monica was awesome, in an approach very different from what I’ve tried before & thank you to you Arne & MOLLMAGSA for the amazing cover.
Today’s cover theme is all about the 60’s style music and fashion and impact it made and still has on our fashion sense and look today …. based on the (PRISCILLA MOVIE THEME) … we would like to know from you both,
A) what made this theme and look of today’s photoshoot so special for you and B) What is it about the 60’s era that makes it so memorable for you when it comes to the fashion and style?
MONICA as a MODEL – (A) Felt a bit out of place at times seeing that it is not at all how we dress today but very different. The photos, clothes and everything was just a different feeling than the usual photos you always take.
(B) Fashions, hairstyles and even photos have changed...
“So doing something back in the 60’s was a challenge but definitely fun!”
GRAHAM FROM UI MODEL PHOTO as a PHOTOGRAPHER – (A) I think lighting approach, more direct flash to focus on Monica as subject. Positioning flash in different places to find different lighting angles.
(B) Hairstyles, dress & music (can’t say that I’m a fan of the music though) yet iconic sound in its own right. What comes to mind to me is…
“Mike Myers as Austin Powers take on the 1960’s, the fashion sense of that time, haven’t finishing watching Priscilla movie yet, really good from what I saw thus far setting scene of that time with the looks & style.“
MONICA since our last feature with you back in 2021 aka the VALENTINES feature back then to now AKA 2024 … fast forward HOW MUCH have you grown as a model & person, and what have you learned so far that you could teach the younger new generation models that’s up and coming for the years to come?
I have learned so much with the photos, from being shy in front of the camera, to just being myself. To adapt yourself to what the photos involve and just be yourself.

In your opinion what are the 3 factors of what “TRUE INNER BEAUTY” means to you and how you can use those factors to improve you’re LIFE?
MONICA as a MODEL – I would say the following:
- Feeling beautiful about yourself is important. You don’t have to be like others to feel beautiful.
- Your qualities that make you different and unique from other people. There is only 1 YOU SO LIVE YOUR 1 LIFE YOU HAVE THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO AND WANT TOO.
- Kindness and a smile, goes a long way in life!
GRAHAM FROM UI MODEL PHOTO as a PHOTOGRAPHER – Inner Beauty, that’s there already…it’s that which is seen without even a smile in front of the camera. 5 aspects below I searched on Copilot that I can agree with that make photos!!!!
- Authenticity: A model’s genuine personality and uniqueness can shine through in a photo, making them truly beautiful.
- Confidence: A model who is comfortable in their own skin and exudes self-assurance can be incredibly captivating.
- Emotion: The ability to express a range of emotions can add depth and intrigue to a photograph.
- Passion: A model’s passion for their craft can be evident in their poses and expressions, adding a dynamic element to the photograph.
- Kindness: A model’s kindness and warmth can often be perceived in their demeanor and expressions, adding a layer of attractiveness that goes beyond physical appearance.
GRAHAM this one is for you what would you say is the one lesson from the 60’s era PHOTOGRAPHY back then we can learn and incorporate in today’s vision and creativity of PHOTOGRAPHY today?
“I think to look back into the past at the great photographers of each period, study their work to get idea & inspiration, ALSO to looking at the great master painters, they understood light.”
As we are ALL an inspiring vision of our #YOUNGERSELVES what is the one thing or lesson you would teach your children / younger generation for the future and beyond ( #beingaperant )?
MONICA as a MOM and parent to your children – To always be yourself no matter where you find yourself to be, and always treat everyone around you with respect.
GRAHAM as a DAD and parent to your teenage son – Be yourself, be the best version of you that you can be. Don’t give up!

HOBBIES OTHER THAN MODELING, WHAT WOULD WE FIND YOU BE DOING IN YOUR SPARE TIME? – I love to be outdoors on the 4×4 track and definitely enjoying a BBQ (braai afterwards)

WHAT WOULD BE THE 1 QUESTION YOU WOULD ASK YOUR FAVORITE CELEB CRUSH IF YOU GET THE CHANCE TOO DO SO? – mmm sorry don’t really have one.
#FAMILYNIGHT WHAT DOES THAT ENTAIL IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD PLEASE SHARE? – On the couch with both my little girls next to me enjoying our favorite movie together and sharing a bowl of popcorn between the 3 of us.
WHAT MAKES YOU GIGGLE AND SMILE THE MOST? – My family definitely!
